How is chargeable weight calculated in air freight?
Air freight is billed based on the higher of actual (gross) weight or volumetric weight . The standard IATA conversion rate for air freight is:
1 m³ = 167 kg (formula: Length × Width × Height in cm / 6000).

What documents are required for international air transport?
The basic shipping document is the AWB (Air Waybill) or HAWB/MAWB for consolidated air cargo. For efficient customs clearance (both import and export), the following are essential:

- Translation of invoice items/specifications,
- Certificates or declarations of conformity (if required by the product).
What are DGR goods and can they be shipped by plane?
Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) goods are substances and items that pose a potential risk during transport (including lithium-ion batteries, electronics with built-in power supplies, aerosols, flammable substances, and chemical products). Air transport is possible, but requires:
- Certified packaging compliant with UN standards,
- Correct marking and labeling,
- Issuing a DGD (Shipper's Declaration for Dangerous Goods) and verifying the safety data sheet (MSDS) .
Does air freight include door-to-door delivery?
